Acorn Youth Club meets every Tuesday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and caters for a wide variety of needs.

Acorn EXTRA meets every Thursday from 7.30pm to 9.00pm and is geared towards the older members.

The Oaks Club was formed in 2003 and meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 7.30pm to 9.00pm. The club is for ladies who are over 21 and provides more adult activities. We try to cover all of our member’s needs plus the things they enjoy most.

They are a wonderful group of young people with different types of abilities and all with unique characters.

The Club started on the 15th January 1988 as a result of the efforts of 3 mothers who have children with learning difficulties.

The first meetings were held at Grangewood School, Eastcote. Many happy times were had there but members felt it was like being at school.

The club then moved to the Cavendish Pavilion in Field End Road before the building was sold off.
In 1993, we moved to our present home in Columbia Avenue. The Cricket Pavilion and changing room were converted to make them more suitable. This venture cost the club £28,000.

On the night of the 15th March 2003, after many attempts vandals did so much damage to the cricket pavilion that the owners, London Borough of Hillingdon, condemned it.

As a result, the club had to operate out of one hall which restricted the activities because of the cramped conditions. This started to affect the members and something had to be done, so our management committee set out to get a new building for the club.

Having obtained planning permission and satisfied the Local Building Regulation Department, we have now completed building phase one of our new HQ on the site of our old one at a cost of over £200,000.

Phase two comes next when we have raised enough money. We fund raise at every chance we get, but it takes time.  We will carry on our hard work until we have built phase two and completed our dream.
